THE DREAMER EXAMINES HIS PILLOW
"There's only one thing that goes straight my baby, and it's not love." -Dad Love and Death; Donna and Tommy can't live without each other, and they just might kill each other. Which has Donna asking, "Who's life is it anyway?" Time to talk to Dad. John Patrick Shanley's 1985 play "The Dreamer Examines His Pillow" is a psychological and sometimes psychedelic gut-punch that works to awaken us to, and connect us within the dream of our lives. Told with savagery and hilarity in equal parts by one of the best American playwrights in a generation. Revived in 2021 because as Andre Gide often repeated, "Everything that needs to be said has already been said, but since no one was listening, we have to say everything again." Presented by Wild Rose Theatre With Natasha Walfall, Khari Constantine, and Sergio Fuenzlida Featuring art by Dani Marco, and percussion by Mohomadou Diawara Directed by Jonathan Wilde December 9th, 10th, and 11th. Doors at 7:45, show at 8pm. Comments are closed.
