THE GHOSTWRITER

1/23/2026

THE GHOSTWRITER
A washed-up writer needs cash fast, so she takes an unlikely job: ghostwriting her fan's suicide note.

Olive Temple was the talk of the town in 2012. A member of the once-hip alt-lit community, she wrote fiction that acted as a veiled memoir of her life partying with celebrities and taking copious amounts of drugs. Now, she's divorced, broke, and hasn't written a word since. Her agent quits. Her famous friends are nowhere to be found, and she spends most of her time doom scrolling and getting drunk in her tiny New York apartment, living off her dwindling royalties. Desperate for money, she responds to a cryptic email offering to pay her an exorbitant amount for very little work. The job? Writing Walton Hanes' suicide note. Walton is an Olive Temple superfan and feels that only her voice can capture his final message to the world. But as they begin to work together, Olive learns there's much more to Walton's story than he's letting on. Soon, she finds herself ensnared in a web of lies and mystery where one false move could cost her what little she has left.

THE GHOSTWRITER is a play in three acts, approximately 80 minutes long, featuring three actors and six characters. It zigzags between comedy and drama, and it tells a story of our dysfunctional relationship between the personas we project and the ones we keep hidden.

*Equity members appearing with permission of Actors’ Equity Association without benefit of an Equity contract in this off-off Broadway production.

Friday and Saturday, January 23-24. 8pm.

GOD IS IN YOUR TYPEWRITER is a meta-theatrical exploration of the life, work, and psyche of the American poet Anne Sexton: a world of words, sex, booze, and thousands of cigarettes. Framed as both biography and surrealist drama, GOD IS IN YOUR TYPEWRITER  interweaves historical fact, poetic performance, musical numbers, and hallucinatory fantasy, blurring the boundaries between creation and creator.

GOD IS IN YOUR TYPEWRITER is an Equity approved showcase, and Lyndsey Morgan Anderson appears with permission of Actors’ Equity Association without benefit of an Equity contract in this Off-off Broadway production.

Friday, January 9th, and Saturday, January 10th. 8pm.

CATS. AN ART SHOW INSPIRED BY CATS
There’s no wrong way to make cat art.

Team Nicki presents CATS. An Art Show Inspired by Cats, a playful and imaginative celebration of feline creativity. Featuring artworks priced between $50 and $2000, the show invites artists and cat lovers to explore the chaotic, curious, and magical world of cats in any form they choose. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Whiskers-A-Gogo, an all-volunteer, non-profit cat rescue serving North Brooklyn, dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned, displaced, and shelter-surrendered cats.

The exhibition will feature photography, painting, collage, sculpture, and more, offering a wide range of creative interpretations inspired by our feline friends. An accompanying online gallery will launch on December 13th at 6 pm at TeamNicki.com and remain open through December 22nd at 6 PM, allowing a broader audience to view and purchase the artwork. The event will also feature a "Draw Your Own Cat" station, welcoming children and attendees of all ages to participate in hands-on creative fun.

We can’t wait to see what the cat drags in.

Saturday, December 13th.  Preview from 4–6 PM; official opening from 6–9 PM.
