SCARIEST PARTS OF SCARIEST MOVIES!
Come be scared at the 4th annual Scariest Parts of Scary Movies! Hosted by Sarah Wilson & Will Niedmann. Each Halloween, the veil is thin between the spirit world and regular New York world. At this show, the veil will also be thin between your daily life and your memory of a time when a bat flew near a Jack-o-Lantern, graveyards smelled like apple cider, and even looking at a weird tree could be scary. Every movie ever made can be broken down into parts. Within the horror or scary movie genre, some of these can be termed “scary parts.” It’s the part of the movie that makes you afraid. We will screen just the scariest parts of scary movies in an extremely Halloween-centric environment (think: pumpkin or a bunch of spiders coming out of a hole, or a bat). All proceeds from the show support our friend Tay, a friend in Springfield, Illinois who is rebuilding his life after incarceration. Monday, October 30. 7pm. HALLOWEEN PARTY!
A great big costume party. BYOB and bring your friends. Prepare to monster mash! Friday, October 27. 8pm. Free! PETTING ZOO: LIVE COMEDY WITH LIVE ANIMALS
Welcome to the Petting Zoo. This is the world’s only comedy show featuring live exotic animals. New York’s top comics have to perform while holding snakes, birds, lizards, bugs, and other cool creatures. Between sets, you can interact up-close with the animals and learn from Ranger Eric Powers and his team of professional nature guides. We promise you haven’t been to a show like this. Hosted by Mike Kandel and Charlie Sosnick! Featuring Kyle Gordon, Clare O'Kane, and Eric Yates! Friday, October 20th. $15. 8pm. ST. KILDA
A One Woman Scottish Horror Excursion With Supernatural Foley Looping Written and Performed by Jody Christopherson Sound and Foley Design by Andy Evan Cohen Voice Over Acting by Michael de Roos Dialect Coaching by Chloe Dirksen *** This performance contains haze. After the death of her Grandmother, an American woman travels to an abandoned island off the coast of Scotland and unearths a dark family secret . . . in a world where the past is anything but dead. This critically acclaimed tale of supernatural horror is steeped in Scottish folklore and told in a tradition as ancient as its subject matter. Drama League nominee, Jody Christopherson, Time Out New York's "talent to watch not to mention a pleasure to hear" spins a tale of solo travel while creating her own sound score, lighting and special effects to conjure a multi-layered storytelling experience.
