In honor of The Steady Running of the Hour entering the world and Justin Gakuto Go being quoted in the New York Times as “strongly disagreeing” with something, Cloud City is hosting its very first literary event. We're not sure if it counts as a salon but we would like to think so. Please join us on Thursday, May 22, at 7:30 pm for a reading/ reception/ potluck/ party. There will be books available to purchase if you like. There will be photo opportunities with or without a Celebrated Author. Bring friends and/or literate acquaintances. Prepare to be dazzled.
a new folk opera by 3 Sticks
Presented by Columbia Stages and Cloud City
New York City, 1966. Paul Bradley, an idealistic young writer, is cooped up in his apartment, dreaming up a new novel. When he travels to Colombia on assignment to cover a burgeoning social movement, Paul discovers an intoxicating world of excitement and truth that is seductive - but also frightening.
A new folk opera by the physical-musical company 3 Sticks, Vestige is a story about choices; once we make them, what (and who) gets left behind?
